In June 2015, Haejoo Group has completed one of the biggest fish habitat enhancement projects in Victoria’s history to sustainably improve offshore recreational fishing opportunities.
25 units Fish Box purpose-built modules create the Victoria’s largest artificial reef in approximately 3 kilometres offshore, in 25 metres of water, between Breamlea and Torquay.
The state-of-the-art Fish Box reef enhancement design currently makes 5 offshore artificial reefs across Australia. The purpose-built artificial reefs have shown fantastic productivity underwater and stability in the offshore conditions – quadrupling marine biodiversity within 12 months and withstanding 15 metre wave height through storm events.
